My recent stay at Host & Stay - Amber Cottage was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled in a quiet corner away from the road, the tranquility was a much-appreciated change. The charming cottage, with its characterful interior, provided a cozy base as I explored the picturesque surroundings. I particularly enjoyed the easy access to hiking trails nearby, perfect for someone like me who loves to embrace nature through the lens of my camera. Though the shared courtyard was nice for some fresh air with my dog, I did find myself wishing for a sea view, especially being so close to the coast. The thoughtful touch of provided towels was a small convenience that added to the comfort during my stay. While the location offered a vibrant atmosphere with the local markets, the peaceful nights were an added bonus. I believe those yearning for a serene retreat in Whitby could find this cottage a fitting choice.
